My first read of this article has me craving knowledge of the philosophies which are described. It is difficult for me to fully grasp to the ideas of this article. I feel it in pieces, we are constantly bombarded by images, especially in the digital age, but I'm not sure how this relates to taking power from President 45. If the idea is to avert our gaze entirely, how can we ever defeat tyranny or oppression? If it is to focus our attention, how can we say with certainty where to look?
I'd like to reread this article with deeper context and understanding of Debord.
